Renewable energy Small and Micro Enterprises (SMEs) are the engine for the growth of the clean energy sector. Business Development Services (BDS) plays a critical role in strengthening and enabling these SMEs to reach their full potential. The Energy Enterprise Coach (EEC) is a flagship initiative that offers the best skills, services and expertise in business development services to support professionalisation of SMEs working in the clean energy sector in Africa and Asia (see target EEC countries here), to foster their growth and development. Conceptualised and backed by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), EEC’s core aim is to provide an inclusive, solution- oriented approach to support a number of renewable energy enterprises (encompassing at least 25% women-owned) in order to accelerate their growth trajectory towards investment readiness.

Mentorship
No. of mentorship support for companies carried out across 18 countries with 100 being male owned, 27 female owned and 28 jointly owned.
